How To Prepare:
Your first visit to Curly Roots is all about connection, education, and care. I'll begin with a detailed consultation to understand your curl history, current routine, and hair goals. From there, I'll walk you through each step of your customized curl service—whether it’s a curl cut, treatment, or style—so you feel informed and confident throughout the process.
I'll also take time to talk about product choices, home care tips, and how to best support your curls between visits. My goal is to make sure you leave not only with beautifully shaped, healthy curls, but also the knowledge to care for them on your own.
Please arrive with your curls fully dry, detangled (this is especially important for children) and worn down in their natural state. Avoid any styles that stretch or manipulate your curl pattern—no ponytails, buns, braids, twists, or similar styles. This helps me accurately assess your natural texture and movement. You’re welcome to use your usual curl products—just be sure your hair stays down and curly!

When booking your appointment, you’ll see that services are organized based on hair type and density. This allows me to reserve the right amount of time for your unique curls and ensure each client receives the focused attention they deserve.
